Review: The Five Gateways

What about after Awakening – What Then?

That’s another great question.

The subtitle of the documentary video 5 Gateways states, “Awakening is just the beginning.”

You go on with your life. It’s a changed, of course, but you go on.

In my experience the initial event felt like an energy surge rushing upwards. It’s difficult to explain and since there was no instrumentation in place to monitor the changes taking place in my body I can only give my best interpretation. Looking back, I think what happened is a flood of chemical and electrical changes ran up my spine and lit up my brain like the proverbial Christmas tree.

It began while I was standing. I can only describe the initial event as a little blue bomb silently exploding off to my right and a little behind me a few inches off the ground.

I saw a series of blue lightning bolts running around me, through me and the person I was next to. The main aftereffect was active for several years. As I said before, every thing felt alive. There is no other way to say it.

Want to know the weather? I could have talked to it for you.

After a couple of weeks, things settled down and it looked to me as if I were looking at the world encased in purple Jell-O. It wasn’t a haze, my vision appeared to have altered, overlapping with what is referred to as “etheric vision.”

I encourage anyone who is at all interested in the process to watch  5 Gateways by the Openhand Foundation. It is without a doubt the clearest, most thought out, and articulated contemporary explanation which I have encountered.

The video does a particularly good job describing the shadow self, or ego — doing it in very few words. I’ve had particular difficulty finding my shadow self. I know it exists and can see it better because of the explanation here. You’ll have to pay attention or miss the truth.

The phases of my post-awakening were not as clear cut as the gateways in the documentary, so while the structure offered in 5 Gateways is somewhat different than mine, it is certainly the best attempt to define what comes after awakening that I’ve run across.

We remain ourselves and, though changed, still have to find something to do or become in this plane of existence.

“Awakening is just the beginning.” I would have liked to have heard one of my characters utter that line ….

Great Job!
