Drew knows the truth behind the stories of people who have been shown the secrets of the universe and move to mountain tops. They don’t go because they are special, or better than anyone else. They go because it’s quiet up there. They can be alone \u2013 away from the useless turmoil of untrained minds reeling from the shocks of life.<\/p>\n

When they were in high school, Drew and Candace had an unspoken agreement that they would attend formal dances as a couple if neither of them were going out with someone else. Over the years they lost contact.<\/p>\n

Ten years after Drew married Carol, they were invited to\u00a0a celebration at a spiritualist camp\u00a0where Drew and Candice stumbled onto each other. Candice had a booth selling herbs and fortune telling. She was also married.<\/p>\n

As Carol would later recall:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cOnce the two of them recognized each other, they started talking and never stopped. She closed her tent to the public and we had a party that ran on until the next day. They were having so much fun we stayed until the end of the week instead of leaving for home Monday.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

At one point\u2026 \u201csomeone pulled out a deck of cards, had them sit back to back, and gave one of them the deck\u2026 I swear out of a deck of 52 cards they got 43 of them correct, suites and rank. The other one took the cards and they got 48 on the second run.<\/span><\/p>\n

One of the group began to give a psychic reading and said they were a brother and sister whose souls had become separated. Another jokingly pronounced them \u2018twins separated before birth.\u2019 Everyone laughed. But from what we, mostly they and Drew\u2019s mother, Debbee, have been able to determine \u2013 it\u2019s true.\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Before the week was out, Drew and Candace would experience a simultaneous Kundalini awakening<\/a> that changed their lives forever. Drew and Carol returned home to San Francisco, but the connection between Drew and Candace was only the first of their talents to be expressed.\u00a0Throughout the changes and growing intimacy of knowing each others’ feelings and thoughts, Drew remained committed to his marriage.\u00a0Their closeness devastated\u00a0Carol and Candace’s husband, Mike. Over time Carol learned the deeper cause of this connection and grew to accept them. Mike, feeling betrayed, would not\u00a0believe\u00a0the truth and ultimately filed for a divorce.\u00a0Candace traveled to California to met with Drew, Carol, and Drew\u2019s mother, Debbee. The details of this visit remain private and are known to few outside the family. The end result was that Debbee accepted Candace as the daughter she never had and adopted her.<\/p>\n

One final thing, Drew feels that if you\u2019re having an adventure, you didn\u2019t plan well enough.<\/p>\n
